Introduction :

Boswellia (Shallaki / Salai Guggulu )is an effective anti-inflammatory, analgesic and anti-arthritic gum resin obtained from Boswellia serrata that significantly ameliorates pain, swelling and inflammation of joints and allied structures. It efficientlysupports Joint Health, relieves swelling and stiffness, and facilitates joint movement.

Actions :

  • Significant anti-osteoarthritic activity.1
  • β-boswellic acid, acetyl-β-boswellic acid, 11-keto-β-boswellic acid and acetyl-11-keto-β-boswellicacid, the active components of Boswellia, markedly inhibit pro-inflammatory enzymes. Acetyl-11-keto-β-boswellic acid is the most potent inhibitor of 5-lipoxygenase, an enzyme responsible for inflammation.2
  • Efficacious in certain autoimmune disease, especially rheumatoid arthritis, Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis and bronchial asthma.3
  • Effectively reduces intensity and frequency of headaches in patients with CCH (Chronic Cluster Headache).4
